  1. Prepare 1 head of cabbage, chopped.
  2. You need 1 of enough water to cover the cabbage.
  3. You need 1 of milk, any kind you use - coconut milk, rice milk, whole dairy.
  4. You need 1 pinch of each salt, pepper & ground nutmeg to taste.
  5. You need 1 tbsp of sunflower spread/butter.

  1. Put the chopped cabbage into a large pan of boiling water. Simmer for 20 minutes, then drain.
  2. Add milk to the saucepan, enough to cover the cabbage. Let it stew in the milk until it's reduced to just a coating on the cabbage - don't let the milk boil.
  3. When cooked through, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste and a tablespoon of butter/sunflower spread melted through.
  4. Other vegetables cooked in milk this way are just as tasty such as carrots and cauliflower.
